Region 12 is proud to be a Google Apps for Education school system. Google Apps is a free suite of web-based products that support communication and collaboration among our students and staff members. The core suite includes Chrome (the Internet browser),  Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Email and Calendars. The products work seamlessly together to allow for communication and collaboration between students and staff.

Students throughout the region will be using Chromebooks, powered by Google Apps for Education, as part of their educational experience. Students in Grades 6-12 will participate in a 1:1 initiative, which allows them to utilize the device in all classes and at home. Students in Grades 2-5 will have a Chromebook assigned to them to use during the school day. 

Chromebooks, powered by Google, provide teachers with the flexibility to create immediate learning opportunities and access to resources. Students will have the ability to research and collaborate, learn, prepare, report and share information wherever they are.
