A Note from Principal Colella on Supplemental Learning Opportunities for our Students

Dear Parents,

To support learning over the two week closure, teachers have created a suggested list of activities for your use. These activities are optional, however participating in them will help students maintain skills.  Please view the Pre K (SupplementalLearningActivitiesPreK.pdf) K-2 (SupplementalLearningActivitiesK-2ndGrade.pdf) and the 3-5 (SupplementalLearningOpportunities3rd-5thGrade.pdf) Supplemental Learning Opportunities. Resources are arranged by subject area and login and password information is included. These activities are meant to be a fun way to review and maintain information learned. Parent encouragement is much appreciated.

Please note, that the closing of school is to minimize the impact of COVID-19 in our community. It is important to adhere to the governor's request to avoid large gatherings.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at colellac@region-12.org.

Be safe and stay healthy!

Sincerely,

Cathy Colella

PLEASE NOTE! AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT THE BFS MULTIAGE CLASSROOM PRESENTATIONS!

IMPORTANT NOTICE! MULTIAGE CLASSROOM DISCUSSION PRESENTATION 5 WILL NOT BE HELD TONIGHT, THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 2020. PLEASE SEE MESSAGE BELOW FROM SUPERINTENDENT MEGAN BENNETT.

ALSO, PLEASE NOTE THAT BFS MULTIAGE CLASSROOM DISCUSSION PRESENTATION 6 SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 16 WILL NOT BE HELD EITHER.

Dear Booth Free Families,

Given the current guidelines regarding large gatherings, I am hesitant to put forth a community conversation.  I am canceling the Thursday, March 12th community conversation.  Attendance for the community conversations has dwindled to very small crowds, however, I do not want to limit attendance for the presentations.

I will provide a video update for all of the families and send the communication through our email server.  If you have any questions or concerns that you would like me to address during my video update, please email me directly.

Thank you for your understanding of the event changes caused by the COVID-19 virus.
