Practicing an Attitude of Gratitude means more than just saying thank you. It means showing your gratitude in meaningful ways that communicate a genuine appreciation for what others may have to give up in order to offer kindness to you. This idea came to life as our students showed appreciation to the Danbury Women’s Center who visit each year to present safe touch and anti-bullying programs. To acknowledge their volunteerism, Mrs. Manley and students created three collective pieces of art that were donated to the center to be used to beautify their shelters and office space. Anne Rodwell-Lawton from the center accepted the art work at our April school-wide Town Meeting. She was overwhelmed with gratitude for this amazing donation and act of kindness.
