"You must do the things you think you cannot do." - Eleanor Roosevelt
It is a great honor and privilege to serve as the principal of Washington Primary School. I believe that continuous learning opens minds to new and exciting ways of thinking, reveals personal passions, and fosters connections that positively impact the lives of others and bring joy and meaning to one’s life. It is my hope to create a school culture that cultivates character and inspires and engages students in the learning process. Teaching and practicing kindness, optimism and collaboration will help students grow into respectful, caring and contributing citizens. Engaging students in rigorous and interesting learning experiences that promote choice and goal setting will help students achieve academic expectations and become self-directed learners. Leading and supporting a high quality staff and partnering with parents and the community are essential to our success. With collective efforts, we develop learners who are competent and creative problem solvers, who understand varied perspectives and value collaboration, and who want to make a difference in their schools, homes and community.
