Primary Priorities

The Region has dedicated our energy and resources to creating outstanding programs and facilities for middle and high school students at Shepaug Valley School (SVS). It's time to consider our elementary schools and what we can do to bring those programs to the next level. That's where we need you!

Region 12 will host a series of community conversations to engage with our elementary families to hear about your hopes and dreams for growing our outstanding elementary programs and ensuring continued excellence for the foundation of Region 12.

Below is a schedule of events held at each elementary school focused on critical issues in elementary education in the Region. The first round of community conversations will focus on our current facilities and the need to maintain first-rate physical plants.

Future sessions will delve into security, teaching and learning, and enrichment. We will partner with SVS students to provide child care at these events. The community conversations are scheduled for a 6:30 PM start to accommodate dinner and bedtimes for our families with young children. Each session is expected to last roughly one hour. Child care will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and can't wait to join you as partners in learning forward together.
